Patient Programs
At St Jude Medical, we are dedicated to working toward improving patient outcomes. With this commitment, we offer tools to help you and your practice offer excellent patient care. We have worked hard to develop robust patient educational services and support for your patients with chronic pain.
Patient Education
Excellent patient education brings better patient outcomes. Our unique patient education offering includes:
-
Pain Relief Education Program (PREP™) - Comprehensive spinal cord stimulation education materials.
-
Power Over Your Pain Web site - An online informational and community resource for patients interested in learning more about neurostimulation and chronic pain. Site visitors can search for a pain specialist in their local area, connect with patients who have St. Jude Medical neurostimulators, watch patient videos and read success stories.
- Patient Teleconferences - We host teleconferences to educate patients on the potential benefits of spinal cord stimulation and highlight the personal experiences of current patients.
Patient Support
We are dedicated to providing outstanding quality support.
-
Patient Ambassador Program - Gives interested candidates the opportunity to connect with patients who currently have St. Jude Medical devices. These individuals are volunteers and are not paid as participants in this program. Candidates can contact patient ambassadors via a toll-free number or by e-mail.
- Sales Force and Clinical Support - Our sales and clinical team takes pride in providing unrivaled support and personalized education to patients throughout their treatment.
- Customer Service and Technical Support Team - Our customer service and technical support team is available on call to help patients with questions and concerns with their neurostimulation system.
- Reimbursement - Our Therapy Access team can assist with authorizations and claims with insurance groups, worker’s compensation, Medicare and Medicaid. We partner with insurance groups to build awareness of neurostimulation and expedite reimbursement with major health insurance companies.
Building Awareness
To build public and national awareness of neurostimulation, St. Jude Medical supports educational outreach efforts through such organizations as the National Pain Foundation (www.nationalpainfoundation.org), American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians (www.asipp.org), the Neuromodulation Therapy Access Coalition (www.neuromodulationaccess.org) and others. Our partnership with these organizations and other patient advocacy groups helps build national awareness regarding the issues around chronic pain and drives legislative action.
